New maps and data are now available for the Insufficient Sleep (less than 7 hours on average for adults) indicator from the BRFSS PLACES dataset as released in 2024. Data have been updated for the 2022 reporting period, replacing data for 2020 (this indicator follows an even year release schedule).

New 5-year mortality rates for 2019-2023 are now available (replacing data for 2018-2022). Death counts were downloaded from the CDC WONDER query system. Total rates and race/ethnicity or gender statistics are reported for US counties and states with 10 or more deaths over the report period.  Affected indicators: Health Outcomes Liver Disease Mortality

The gender pay gap data for the year of 2019-2023 are now available. Data were from the 2019-2023 American Community Survey and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings. The ratio of women’s median earnings to men’s median earnings for all full-time, year-round workers are reported for US counties and states over the report period.
