New map and data for chronic absenteeism (from the ED Data Express) for school year 2022-23 are now available. Breakouts by race and ethnicity are also available.

New 5-year mortality rates for 2019-2023 are now available (replacing data for 2018-2022). Death counts were downloaded from the CDC WONDER query system. Total rates and race/ethnicity or gender statistics are reported for US counties and states with 10 or more deaths over the report period.  Affected indicators: Health Outcomes Poisoning Mortality

This indicator reports the homeless students enrolled in elementary or secondary schools in SY 2021-2022 whose primary nighttime residences are shelters, doubled-up/shared housing, hotels/motels, or unsheltered.

The new seven-year average infant mortality data for 2016-2022 are now available. Data were from the National Center for Health Statistics – Mortality files and are used for the 2025 County Health Rankings.
