New maps and data for 2019-2023 now available for Firearm Mortality indicator!

New 5-year mortality rates for 2019-2023 are now available (replacing data for 2018-2022). Death counts were downloaded from the CDC WONDER query system. Total rates and race/ethnicity or gender statistics are reported for US counties and states with 10 or more deaths over the report period.  Affected indicators: Health Outcomes Firearm Mortality

New maps and data for 2022 now available for the Health Behaviors – Insufficient Sleep (Adult) indicator! Released on even years

New maps and data are now available for the Insufficient Sleep (less than 7 hours on average for adults) indicator from the BRFSS PLACES dataset as released in 2024. Data have been updated for the 2022 reporting period, replacing data for 2020 (this indicator follows an even year release schedule).

New maps and data are now available for the Chronic Conditions – Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (Adult) indicator from the BRFSS PLACES dataset as released in 2024. Data have been updated for the 2022 reporting period, replacing data for 2021.

New data now available for the Employment – Average Hours Worked indicator from the 2019-23 American Community Survey.

This indicator reports the mean usual hours worked per week in the past 12 months for workers age 16 to 64 years. Data are reported for the total working population and workers by gender. Data are obtained from the 2019-2023 American Community Survey 5-Year estimates.
