Report Indicator

New maps and data now available for indicators from the 2021 US Census Bureau’s SAHIE program (replacing data for 2020). Annual data depicting trends over time is now available for counties, states, and the US for years 2011 through 2021. Affected indicators: Uninsured Population – Total (Under Age 65)

This indicator reports the percentage of the population residing in tribal and Native lands in 2020. The data are drawn from the 2020 Decennial Census, providing a comprehensive snapshot of where people live within these areas.

New maps and data are now available for the Tobacco Usage – Current Smokers indicator from the BRFSS PLACES dataset as released in 2023. Data have been updated for the 2021 reporting period, replacing data for 2020.

New maps and data now are available for the Preventable Hospitalization Rate indicator from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Mapping Medicare Disparities tool. Data are updated through report year 2021. Trends over time are available beginning with year 2012. Indicator breakouts by race and ethnicity are also available.

New maps and data are now available for the Prevention – Recent Primary Care Visit (Adult) indicator from the BRFSS PLACES dataset as released in 2023. Data have been updated for the 2021 reporting period, replacing data for 2020.
