View in Map RoomThis layer shows the estimated percent of all broadband servicable locations in a county that have not received any federal funding and do not have service that is at least 25 MBPS down and 3 MBPS up.
View in Map RoomThis layer displays aggregated location based data from the FCC that’s gathered through the Broadband Data Collection program. The number of locations was derived from the number of unique location ids for each block group and aggregated up. Location ids may include multiple units which are not included in our calculations. The number of locations that meet broadband definitions are only for those locations served the required speeds by copper, cable, fiber, or licensed fixed wireless. Satellite, un-licensed fixed wireless, or ‘other’ are not inlcuded in our broadband calculations. A location is considered served by wireless alone if it meets the broadband definition (25/3+) by a wireless provider and is not served by any other technology type (not including satellite).
View in Map RoomThis layer displays the total number of providers that provide broadband level services. Only records with copper, cable, fiber, or licensed fixed wireless are counted.
View in Map RoomThis layer displays the total number of household subscribers in the Affordable Connectivity Program by data month. The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more.

View in Map RoomThis layer displays the percent of people who use the internet at broadband speeds (Greater than 25 MBPS download speed). Data is derived from the Microsoft data science and analytics team, using anonymized user data and aggregated to the county level. State level averages were calculated by CARES using county averages weighted by population. New in this data update is usage at the zip code level!
